Dear Principal:
Motivation, respect and
self-esteem are three of the greatest issues facing today’s youth,
and are the three character qualities emphasized by the DisAbility
Awareness Foundation to empower children and youth in reaching
their goals and overcoming difficult personal and life situations.
The “DAF” believes that the successes and triumphs of citizens
with disabilities provides them with skills that can be used by
all of us in overcoming personal challenges, and teaches us about
self-motivation, respect for others and valuing our own lives.
With NEW
challenging and entertaining stories, skits, and participation,
more physically disabled speakers, along with educational and
motivational trainer, Jim Nunes, will teach the youth about how
the “Tools for Success” – (Perseverance, Improvisation and
a Positive Attitude), can be used in every one’s life and
allows each of us to reach our full potential.
Our programs will be offered
free of charge - however, any donations are accepted. Please call
us if you have any questions. Thank you for your consideration,
and we look forward to hearing from you soon.
REMEMBER THAT OCTOBER
IS DISABILITY AWARENESS MONTH.
However, our assemblies are available throughout the school
year.
Sincerely, Jim J. Nunes,
President
