Sharon Sacks Memorial Scholarship 2010
We are pleased and proud to
announce our twelfth annual scholarship award in memory of Sharon
Sacks, co-founder of the Disability Awareness Foundation.
The Disability Awareness
Foundation will award a total of $2,000.00 to one or more deserving
STUDENTS WHO HAVE A DISABILITY. They will be chosen according
to the following guidelines.
Applicant must:
- Be a resident of Orange
County.
- Be a senior student in
good standing (as approved by a member of the high school guidance
department).
- Actively participate in
at least one school program (i.e. club, sport, newspaper, etc.,
verification required).
- Be well rounded in terms
of Academics (2.0 or better grade point average).
- Be involved in a community
program.
- Upon graduation, continue
their education at a junior or four year college, or an appropriate
vocational school. (Verification required.)
- Show a desire to educate
and inspire others to make the most of their potential.
Applicants must complete
and submit the attached form,
to the Guidance Counselor by April 15, 2010 to be evaluated by
the DISABILITY AWARENESS FOUNDATION committee.

be sent to the chosen applicant. The Award will be presented at
your school's Awards Assembly.
